So I finally got a 360...

So how exactly are you filling up your hd? I think mine is only a 10 or 20 (whatever came with the "pro" version last Christmas season), but I don't think anything fills it up...?

It'd be hard to fill up the 20 gig HD right now unless you put a lot of music and/or movies on it (which you could just as easily play off of an external HD). I have about 20 360 games plus another 10 or so XBLA games and I've only used 5 gigs up total with all of the saves, DLC, and the actual XBLA games themselves. Of course when the dashboard update comes out and allows game installs, I'm sure I'll start filling up a lot more (one reason I got an Elite in the first place).

In comparison, I only have 11 PS3 games and very few PSN games, yet my 40 gig HD is almost full (yay for games with 5+ GB installs). Of course I can easily pop a much larger hard drive in there for cheap since Sony made upgrading the PS3 hard drive a cakewalk.

That's rather spiffing. My only real gripe with my 360 is that I can't just plug in any old external HDD to expand my savey-goodness. The 20GB drive I bought with the system (the best I could buy at the time!!) is tooooo small.

I never tried it, but I was told you could use a USB hard-drive formatted as a fat32 and it would work. But again I don't know if this is right.

But I have an elite and still have 87gigs free, and since my computer streams media I don't see myself running out of space.

BTW, gears of war 2 totally rocks.

I love the commercials for it.

I'll pick it up when I can find it cheap.

Blarg, I got it on newegg for $52.99 free shipping and no tax. It was worth it the first time I curb-stomped someone and then used their friend as a meat shield.

Really? I think they are pretty bad.

Gears of War 2's strength is the action yet all of the commercials for the game don't show such. Instead, it features the sentimental relationship between two fully grown, dirty men in large armor suits who cock their large guns while eye-ing each other in a small compartment space they share by themselves as it penetrates deep down in the dark, wet bowels of the earth. I hope the people behind the adverts weren't expecting us to take that seriously. The last thing to admire from Gears is character development.

Major Gears of War 2 spoilers....

W T F was that really necessary? We got eaten by a giant worm and had to go through its guts until we found its hearts and then we had to cut its arteries until it bled to death internally. That was the sickest thing ever.

Also, the part where you have to walk in some house carrying a bomb with the 2nd player side-by-side was completely moronic.

It seems like I'm getting to shoot people less, they've replaced that with gimmicky crap that isn't fun. Lame :(
