Voted via absentee ballot. It really upsets me that analysts can call an election based on the outcomes of only three or four states. Websites read, "Even if you live in the West, it's still worth voting!" If certain states are already "sold," why even bother? :P

I did not vote today. Two reasons for that, the first being I have to leave around 10:30 am to head to work. And I got off around midnight last night, so I really didn't want to wake up at 5 am to go across county to vote (I really need to fix that next time)

I'll think about it.
Maine allows you to register at the polling site. I think you need mail addressed to yourself, so if I get mail today I'll do it.
I'm voting for myself, though.

I voted last week early.
I don't see any excuse really for waiting for election day and then complaining that it takes effort, when it's so easy to vote early or absentee.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

All you need is a driver's license. Having mail isn't going to prove who you are.

If you write in "Cthulhu" or "Gordon Freeman" or something, do they still have to tally those votes?

More importantly, is there a website where you can see the different things that people write in? I'd imagine it would be pretty amusing.

They probably tally it all just to avoid any issues of someone actually having the name Gordon Freeman or what have you.

I would highly doubt that, as that would be an invasion of voter privacy.

I was accosted by an Obama supporter!

Obamian : Are you voting for Obama?
Me : I don't vote for Democrats.
Obamian : Blah blah blah McCain is evil Blah blah blah
Me : Why would I care about McCain?
Obamian : You should know about the person you're voting for!
Me : I know plenty about Bob Barr.
