I was asked out.. and it was a horrible experiance

The other week I noticed a teacher at one of the schools I manage ( I’m a network admin) had left a message on both my facebook and myspace account asking if I was the same guy who visits her school. I politely didn't message her back. Then on the following Friday some one at work said she called and left a message for me to call her. I began to worry. Starting to lightly think of the idea she had which came to fruition I was overcome with a feeling of sexual uneasiness.

The following week as I did my usual rounds I noticed a request from her to fix something in her room. I went to her room, resolved the problem and left. Nothing happened. I was happy. Argh but then it happened, she approached me later while I was at my desk and popped the question "do you want to go out sometime". With out giving my self any time to think I said "Hey I already have a gal, but thanks for the offer" and double pistol gunned her with my fingers. The whole thing makes me feel gross because from observation she was obviously not my type at all. I hate attracting woman who are not equal to my persona. :psyduck:

Also the double pistol fingers... gah, i would have smacked you if I was there.

Sophomore year at school, was out on a late night walk with a group of friends, including this girl who had a thing for me whom I was not interested in. Somehow everyone else in the group secretly communicated amongst themselves that it would be a good idea to leave the two of us alone, and so they all basically drifted off, and I had to walk back with only this girl, and it was a bit awkward, probably because of the fact that I felt like we were both aware what everyone's departure was about

I had a group of girls ask if I wanted to hang out and go see a movie. I said sure. Last minute all but one of them flaked out leaving just me and the one who had a thing for me. Their little game of setting me up with their friend put nothing but anger in me and made me even MORE unattracted to her.

While in college, I was waiting for the bus. A car with three girls pulled up, asked if I wanted a ride to campus, and to smoke some bowls before class. I politely declined, not sure what to do as I was somewhat involved with some slut at the time. Instead I missed the bus and didn't go to class at all.

In retrospect... :gonk:

When I was like 18 or 19, at "gameworks" I was smoking a cigarette (You could smoke indoors!) and some girl came up and asked me for one. I told her I was an undercover cop and if she couldn't prove she was 18 I couldn't do it.. she walked away but I felt like a totally retard afterwards haha

A while back I was dating a girl from work, and for some reason another one of the girls I worked with seemed to never go out to eat with us anymore. I later found out she had a thing for me and it was weird for her to see me with someone else. Well after the girl I was dating cheated on me with my best friend, I started hanging out with this other girl again, just as friends, or so I thought until on Thanksgiving night she sent me a text saying "Next time I see you, I'm going to make you [hey lets try censoring more than one letter] so hard." ... Awkward.

...that's because that is fairly retarded.

A girl asked me out once over the phone when I was 13. I had no idea who she was. :\ I just hung up. Yeah that was pretty cold but I didn't know what else to do.

A girl that I worked with a while back wrote a poem as her way of asking me out. She gave it to me to read, which I did, and then simply commented that it was a nice poem. I had no idea she was trying to ask me out, the message wasn't very clearly communicated through the poem. She then had to suffer through the embarrassment of explaining it to me, and then having me tell her I wasn't interested. I felt sorry for her though, she did go to all that trouble.

I once got asked to prom by a girl I didn't like.

To ask me, she made a cd of some songs and put them on my car's windshield.

One of the songs: Pour some sugar on me

Enough said.

As long as you have a captive audience, the proper response to that is a long and boring discussion about the proper way to initiate a relationship. Extra points for being patronizing.

Or you could just be nice and go along with it, because she might be very nice.

And maybe she'll put out.

There was a girl I went to homecoming with as a friend and she evidently wanted something more, as one of my other friends informed me. No way in hell that was going to happen. There was a reason she was only a friend. Her pseudo-friend was also interested and that was a big "NO" to.

In high school, Betsy asked me out. Besty was not only a wildebeest, but one of those painfully obnoxious heifers that have convinced themselves they're attractive. When I declined her I got the typical "baww its because im fat isnt it" response and I had to let her know it was also because her ego is as big as her waist.

And then I hooked up with her hot friend.

In high school, a girl walked up to me as my gf (now wife) and I left a class. She handed me a note saying that she's seen me around and wanted to go out sometime. My wife thought it was cute.

Personally, I find it kind of refreshing when a girl asks me out. Last time it happened to my was last New Years. I was out with friends who brought friends. Ended up being a pretty big group. A young lady took some interest in me and we danced, had some drinks. We went out a few more times after that, but there wasn't really any chemistry.

No, no. WE don't even do that here. Double pistol fingers is like the subliminal way to say "hey... f*** you."

I think it would be a tad on the creepy side for some random person to message you on any social network then CALL you after you show no interest....

It's quite disconcerting. I have refused several invitations.

If I recall correctly, you're about my age, JLee. That would put the woman right around 40, and this is a problem?

I used to work in a Mexican restaurant. This one Saturday two special needs people came in with their handlers (there is a program in town to help take care of the mentally ill. I'm sure Squirrel King is enrolled). It turns out it was the birthday of one of the invalids. Being the assistant manager, I sent the other worker over to the store to get candles. He returns, we give her a piece of cake with a candle in it and we sing happy birthday. All in good fun, trying to make someone feel good right?
Jump to a week later. Birthday girl comes in with her handler. They eat. They leave. Birthday girl comes back in and asks me, "Do you have a girlfriend?" Not being one to lie, I told her no. She leaves. 5 minutes later, she comes back in. She asks me to a movie. I politely decline, saying that I work every night. She leaves. 5 minutes later she returns. "How about a day movie?" At this point I'm thinking it must be a joke but I stick to my guns and decline again. She leaves. At this point I leave the dining room to do some dishes and not have to deal with this again. She comes back. The manager's wife comes out back and tells me I have a visitor. GUESS WHO IT IS.

The worst part is that the girl's handler had to have been outside feeding these questions to her.

Helloooooo awkward.

I tend to be a desperate slob, so I entertain all signs of interest, despite the consistent failures and psychotic women.

Edit: Actually, I have a harem of 16 year old girls that I've declined for obvious age reasons that are completely obsessed with me. Managing them is a part time job. The reason I add this? One just called to tell me she's got a mid-year dance at her highschool this weekend.

If these girls are decently attractive, I cannot understand why you all would turn them down.

Hell if its THAT bad turn them into one night stands, I'm sure the girl won't care too much if its consensual, especially this, you missed a picture perfect oppertunity..

From what it sounds like everyone is basing it off of personality, not physical appearence. If theres a possibility for a one nighter, then all its going to be is based off physical attraction anyway so to hell with personality.

Now if shes ugly to you, AND her personality is not attractive, then yeah its a lost cause.

I've never been asked out by a girl before, I've always done the asking. :(

And only one out of the 5 or 6 girls I've dated over high school actually lasted more than a month. :gbk:

And I'm going to break up with her on friday, so... yeah. Good times to be had by all.

:(

This year I was hooking up with this girl and it was starting to get sort of serious, or at least leading in that direction. Then her friend calls me and asks me to her formal. I'd been told this girl had a thing for me before but I didn't want to be a dick and say no so I politely accepted as I was thinking maybe I was last resort and she just wanted someone to go with. Anyways, two days later the girl I was hooking up with told me she was still in love with her ex-boyfriend and we couldn't keep hooking up and a few days later I go to the formal where all of that girls friends kept telling me she wanted my private parts! Super awkward!
