Alright, it's time for me to chip in here, because I am sick of this.
Clone Hunter makes a valid (albeit exaggerated) point about submissions. Although his may not break any records for quality, he did indeed make them. I remember a day when Massassi didn't mind "low quality" works. I take a look through the skins, levels, and mods that we host, and what is the dominant theme?
Most of them are not "professional", top notch works.
Yet they're still here, on Massassi. Now regardless of your views on what Massassi is now or should be, or whether you think editing has died or not, Massassi was built on the foundation of a strong editing community. One that has always supported creativity at any level.
Frankly, I am embarrassed and ashamed to call those of you who ridicule this guy's work members of this community. Editors, artists, you have to start somewhere. Brian created Massassi with the idea that anyone who put the time and effort into making their own works would be welcomed, supported, and have their works added. This may not be "Brian's" Massassi any longer, but I still hold his values. I am disappointed and angry at everyone who ridiculed his work here.
That said, I don't approve of Clone Hunter's attitude or his need to attack the community. If you have a problem with our community there are better, less aggressive means of resolving it. This is not how you do so. I will accept your submissions (assuming you submit them properly) just as Massassi always had, but next time, leave your attitude at the door, and post in the Showcase forum.
