We're talking about actual star wars stuff, you're allowed to use the copyrighted terminology.
Laser swords is what non-star wars games/movies/etc say so they don't get sued.

That says something about the Vong ... didn't they first appear way after JK? (Asuming so) Seems silly someone would make an action figure way after a games release.

But why laser? At least call it a plasma sword or something. You might as well call it a microwave sword or something.

Katarn makes a few quest appearances in the NJO series. He's teaching at the academy or some BS. From the description, that action figure was hand-made out of a vong and anakin action figure.

Yeah, he's on the council, and does some Vong-smacking and in the Legacy series he gets to beat up Han Solo's kid. Right before he takes a 'saber through the spleen.

No. The image is a scan from a toy magazine called Insider which did a spread with the people involved in producing the Star Wars toys, as well as a sneak-peak at the new toys that will be released this year. The caption just above Katarn is what else was on the page, which was a Yuuzhan Vong warrior, dark-side Anakin Skywalker, the hands of one of the designers holding the many different peices that make up the figures, and finally Kyle Katarn.

Some of the others were a new Clone Wars Obi-Wan, concept art for a new Slave Leia, and Cyborg Darth Maul.

Half-Life had a couple alien guns (I forget which are HL and which are OP4 but between them there's like... 3).

I've never read any NJO books because I'm just scared that they'll be lame. I suppose most Star Wars books with a few exceptions are, but I'm afraid that they're a whole new kind of non-classical lame.

Yeah, half life had that gun that was actually alive, and spat homing bugs at the enemy.
