I doubt he meant it as Obama but, just the same, he's an idiot and should have seen this coming. It wasn't a funny news story to take off on, even if we ignore the undertones in the connection.

I'll also take this opportunity to mention that I hate the NY Post. It's a terrible newspaper, written at a 3rd grade reading level.

Who cares? Black people DO look like monkeys, and white people DO mostly smell like a wet dog when they come inside from the rain, chinese people are generally short and smell weird, and indians are just another story...What's the error here? Pointing out that a particular race resembles something else? We do it all the time, but this time just because it's black people it's a big thing. I'm seriously getting irritated with blacks and other ethnics constantly pulling the race card all the time. Get the **** over it. Seriously. You can say all the white jokes in the world that you want, and you'll get zero slack for it, yet if you say anything even remotely the same about a black person, you are labeled as a racist and it's shunned upon.

Honestly, I don't understand why everyone made the Obama leap...
I interpreted the comic as Bush being the monkey that's no longer around to write stimulus bills, and so the "someone else to write the next stimulus bill" is naturally Obama cause he's the new person writing the stimulus bill...

I mean, that seems like the straightforward way of viewing it... cause if Obama's the monkey, who is dead and can't write any more bills, then how is he still signing bills! Uff da people, the monkey is BUSH, thus it's not offensive
