I'm shocked you guys took that picture seriously.

I typed in "Trunk" and "Weed" into Google and got that image.

That is stupid.

Go buy an actual mechanical short shifter and a racing transmission if you want to pretend to be speed racer before I run you over.

You get better mileage in the city with a manual transmission.

Theres less to spin, less to move, and you have more control over how hard your engine has to work.

I've never even seen a manual car, I just find the idea lazy/boring.
nope.

A hat, laptop, books, oil paints, mag light, ice scraper, and a garage door remote.
I can't wait for the day schools get the money they need, and the military has to hold bake sales to afford bombs.

Your point? I'm not a transmission elitist like some people seem to be, so I don't care all that much about how much control I have over shifting. I've driven plenty of manuals before, and you know what, I don't really care enough to prefer them. I'll take my automatic and live with it and be happy. Oh no. Blasphemy! The car I wanted came standard with a 6-speed auto, it's as simple as that. I drive a Ford Fusion, it's not like it's a BMW 3-series or a Corvette or something.

Run me over with WHAT?
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I might be willing to believe that except for all the parts of that post that relate directly to my post.

That was a pretty good attempt at pulling a wookie though.

You seem oddly offended, my original post was more a general observation that I find automatics silly, they're harder/more costly to fix and don't really make anything that much easier.

:P
nope.

I wasn't even starting a fight on internet.

You started crying at me. Then you decided to deny it and backpedaled.

*shrug* It came off as snarky and elitist to me. Maybe I was wrong with interpretting it that way, but a lot of people have the same attitudes towards car-related things as neckbeards do about their computer stuff, where if your way isn't their way, then it's wrong. Whatever though, no harm, no foul.

I tend not to be overly judging like dem bastards. :P

I don't even own a car!
nope.
