I think beer threads have become a new Massassi subgroup of threads.

Well, better than pizza jokes. I guess.

Silly articles aside, I guess we can all agree on that American beer wouldn't have that effect.

Since American beer is like having sex in a canoe.

No, it's just the truth. I can't think of any other country that makes so many different beers without producing a single excellent one.

While their pale lagers are like even weaker American macrolagers, some of the Vienna lagers aren't too bad.

It'll do the trick, and it damn cheap, atleast from an American stand point.

I've heard Bohemia is pretty solid. The best Mexican beer I've personally had is Negra Modelo, and even that one didn't impress me much. It's not that Mexican beers are uniformly terrible, but on average they're just so far behind the U.S., Canada and Europe. Not that I blame them. It's a bad climate for growing hops and the water can't be ideal either.

The Ten FIDYs in my fridge want me to drink them right now, but I have to finish my memo, a task that might very well take me all night even if I'm dead sober. :(

Every beer has its own unique taste and serves its purpose. It would be a sad day if only one beer existed. UNIQUENESS FTW!

As for me must stick to my German roots and drink Grolsch, and Spaten.

But the poor college student in me drinks Steel Reserve (the 40 size) :XD:

Dude that stuff is the bomb. $4.22 for a 12 pack, and it's strong!
I had a year of raging alcoholism were that was all I drank.
2009-03-04, 4:34 PM #25
Haha, Steel Reserve. The 40 contains more alcohol than an entire six-pack of your typical beer, at... what, $2 a bottle? $3, maybe? As a means to an end, I can respect that. :)

So that explains how I cut my face open on a rock band mic stand the night I had two of them then:D

yes

If there was a demographic study of steel reserve drinkers, it would consist of people with felons, drug addicts, an so on.

You guys judge Mexican and American beer far too harshly. While Sam Adams is definitely no London Pride, it's not exactly water either.

And while I am not a beer expert, I have a soft spot for Corona and lime.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

Corona isn't the best beer of Mexico, assuming that all the beer in Mexico is like Corona is very ignorant. In fact I hardly EVER drink corona. The good beers of Mexico, in my own unprofessional opinion, are:

Victoria
Tecate
Modelo

Corona IS piss in a bottle. It tastes like crap, and I've never been able to get drunk on it.

On the other hand Modelo and Victoria... now thats beer!

Also Corona is very good with a lime. Sam Adams is amazing and I just got back from a trip to Costa Rica and they have a beer called Imperial la cervaza de costa rica.

it was like 50 cents for a 6 pack down there. And the stuff was fantastic :awesome:

I myself have become a fan of boilermakers: a pint of beer and a shot of Jameson as a chaser. The Wire FTW.
