The part about getting drunk to get a hangover.

(Unless Sarn has never gotten drunk... I don't know .. my point was tou can get absolutely hammered all the time and not get hungover)

The presence of fusel alcohols in drinks might contribute to hangovers. Thus, drinking high quality products may help prevent hangovers.

Anyone who drinks even a little bit could tell you that cheapass beers are key to hangovers.

I just get the sleepy hangover, but water and more sleep does it for me.

excedrine or ibuprofen before bed. excedrine or ibuprofen when you get up, then lots of water. caffeine and greasy starches help too. (greasy french fries or home fries are best.)
My girlfriend paid a lot of money for that tv; I want to watch ALL OF IT. - JM

Here's what I do:
Drink lots of water the night before if possible, drink a lot the next day because you'll be dehydrated. Tums and gravol if your stomach is bothering you. Lots of sleep. Food helps if you can make yourself eat.
Oh yeah, and ibuprofen for the headaches (oh god the headaches, I have a migraine at the moment and it sucks).

I like to pull out my headphones and listen to a stereophonic recording of a really loud 14KHz tone randomly moving around my head.

My migraine has lasted about three days on and off. I think it's actually being caused by an air freshener my girlfriend was using, makes it kind of hard to get away from unfortunately.

Oh, and I get a special kind of hangover if I decide to be a hero (drink a ton of alcohol). I go into some kind of vomit-runaway mode where I'll puke around the time I first wake up the next day, and then every 30-60 minutes after. I usually end up puking 5-10 times the next day if I can't get it to stop. It's like as soon as my stomach acid starts accumulating my body just rejects it. If this happens to you you really need to force yourself to eat or drink something, because vomiting pure acid tastes absolutely horrible. Gatorade or some equivalent really helps in this case. I had this happen to me at work once (working on a Saturday, had been out Friday night) and went to Tim Horton's to get chicken noodle soup and a roll. I find that when I'm in this mode I feel instantly better after I vomit, but it starts getting worse 15 minutes or so later. So, during the lull after throwing up I forced myself to eat and after that I didn't vomit again. Might just be super specific to my body, I don't know, but it does help in that case.

No, but I have tried tums and gravol to no effect. I'll give pepto a shot next time, but hopefully I won't drink amounts that obscene anymore.
