If you'd said this to begin with I wouldn't have pointed my angry stick at you. However, what I gleaned - perhaps wrongly - from your very brief post was that you expect Morrowind to be something it isn't. If you don't like the art style, gameplay, plot, or even the graphics then I'm fine with that and will not be a dick to you about it. Because honestly the graphics were dated even when it was released and the gameplay is cumbersome. But what I got from your post is that you expect it to be an action game. And it really isn't.
If you ever play Morrowind enough to figure it out you would eat those words.
Morrowind is the kind of game that does not nurture the player. It gives you everything straight up and doesn't compromise for you. It's entirely possible to kick some major arse early on if you know what to do. And yeah, you can be a god at level 1 if you exploit the mechanics a little bit, but that's another story. It's a game where you really do have to build your character into the hero. Sure it involves
some
a lot of grinding, but it's a goddamn role playing game.
You can't really expect to grab a sword and run off to conquer the world. There's a hell of a lot to learn and consider about where you're going, who you're fighting, and what you're trying to achieve. All of the information needed to get by is right there in the game, you just need to seek it out. And yes, you have to work for it.
Oblivion basically rubber bands everything so you can play the game without having to really think about leveling your character. They probably could have removed the level system entirely and it wouldn't have made a difference. Morrowind makes you work for victory. Some people love that and others are put off by it. But there's a great journey to be found there if you're willing to let the game kick your arse a little.
But that's enough about Morrowind. **** yes Wall Pipe Game you are awesome.
