generally speaking, the game + the drums should be about even with the rockband 2 bundle

also, good choice, rb2 is ace and while gh:wt is nice it has too little to offer music-wise honestly.

Most of the "GET A REAL GUITAR" people generally haven't played any of the games and don't realise that its nothing like playing a guitar, nor do they realise that a complete novice cannot pick up a guitar and arse about with friends to Any Way You Want It by Journey.

I've spent nearly a hundred quid, and have gh3, rb2 a guitar, drums and a mic, the cheapest box set I saw was 140 so I reckon I've done ok

I've played rock band so much that I've broken multiple guitars and drum sets.. but I get a better feeling with playing my real guitar, actually making music myself instead of following a road of bars. It's much more satisfying.

Yes. Guitar Hero Smash Hits and Metallica work with the Lips mics. Guitar Hero World Tour doesn't and never will. Rock Band will be getting an update that makes the Lips mics compatible.

I'd rent Rock Band 1, rip the songs to the hard drive from the menu and then go out and buy Rock Band 2. Guitar Hero WT has a shoddy UI and the DLC simply can't compete with Rock Band.

Can't you get all the songs from RB on RB2 for like a fiver?

It does cost 5 dollars, but you need the disc to do the export.
