Well, I'm going to take my 3 year old to go see this tomorrow. I've read some pretty good reviews thus far, so I doubt I'll be disappointed. Anybody seen this yet? I know its a kids film, but I always put Pixar up there with their quality movies. Heck, I have Wall-e on Blu-Ray.
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

Wall-E was a filmatical masterpiece of epic preportions, and anyone who says otherwise is too uptight.

I just saw it. The film is quite good, if a little sad. There were a lot of funny and cute moments, and it was all around very enjoyable.

I don't know if it was just the mood I was in when I tried to watch it or what, but I couldn't finish Wall-E. I found it incredibly boring. Weird, I know.

Up looks good, though.

Today Technicolor shipped replacement reels for reel 1 of Up, by order from Disney. That's a very rare thing to happen. When we asked, Technicolor said they didn't know why. So if you saw Up today or Thursday night then perhaps you saw something you shouldn't have?

I, along with two of my friends, tried to see Up tonight at the Drafthouse (because every movie is improved when you see it in a theater that serves beer). We were there thirty minutes early for a late-night showing, and it was still sold out. Must be one hell of a movie.

I've only seen the trailers (over and over and over) with my kids. Oddly enough, I liked the dog the least in the trailers.

I thought Wall-E was brilliant. Both Toy Story movies are brilliant. And Monsters, Inc. is the :master:

I didn't really like Wall-E (although it looked beautiful), but I'll be seeing Up in 3D some time today.

Finding Nemo is the best Pixar film and anyone who says other wise needs to have their skull relocated.

That said, which team made Up?

Finding Nemo makes me cry.

Wall-E was so beautiful I cried at times, And all good pixar movies poke at all emotions, sadness is one of those.

I saw it today. It was quite poignant early on, and yeah the film does feel a bit more like a comedic adventure (maybe due to Disney?) compared to Wall-E and Ratatouille. It's a good film, but I still like Wall-E the best. However, I'm surprised by three events in the films (which is probably why it earned a PG rating).

1. The part where Ellie has a miscarriage. I never thought I would see that in a Disney associated animated flick. Someone said you can see blood trickle down her leg, but I wasn't paying attention at that spot.

2. Carl whacking the guy who grabbed his mailbox on the head with his cane. I was surprised by the film's attention on the blood oozing from that guy's head. Suffice to say, my theater went silent.

3. Charles shooting the gun repeatedly with murderous intent at the little kid and his animal friends.

Just saw it, really really loved it. I think this was more of an adventure film than a family film, pretty mature. Very sad at some points, which was surprising.

I have a feeling kids will start turning out dumber than before where Chewbubba lives.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I love Pixar, but Nemo just didn't do it for me. Parts of it were charming, but overall, not so much... definitely at or near the bottom of the list of "Chew's favorite Pixar flix".

Get over it.

Dori got on my nerves.

I even saw it at the theater, and when my wife and I left, we looked at each other and went, "meh".

In case this was directed at me among the others, I was just joking about how the quality of your teachings is bound to get worse after that skull relocation.

I just saw Up, and it is such a sad and funny movie at the same time. Damn you Pixar for making good movies!

Also, even the "worst" of Pixar far surpasses a lot of other films.

Where wall•e failed in making me care about characters given there was no dialog, Up brought me to tears in its first five minute montage with no dialog. After that serious tone the movie generally was lighthearted. Really good overall.

It made care about the characters in spite of the lack of dialogue. In fact, I was so immersed, I didn't notice there wasn't any dialogue.

Krok, it was a broad swipe at all the folks deceived by alleged greatness of the little fishies. :)

A Bug's Life... all I remember about that film is an ant.

I like a Bug's Life a lot. I would put it in my top 3. It tends to be the most overlooked Pixar film since it was their second one.
