June is so gay

Actually, I think you're supposed to have a shred of evidence that suggests homosexuality is a disease before I have to make any arguments refuting your claim.

I agree with kirbs.

I think we can pretty conclusively rule out "disease". Chemical/Hormonal imbalance? Perhaps. I know quite a few that are gay/lesbian by choice. For some of those, the choice was overnight, for others it was years of transitioning to bisexuality and then to pure homosexuality.

Either way, I think that only proves that homosexuality isn't going away.

My suggestion if you don't like it is to do what I do and ignore it. Seriously, someone's sexuality preference is none of my business...nor do I care. If you want to scream it in my ear because you have some seeded need to hear yourself scream it, then great...just don't expect me give you the attention you're desperately trying to get from me. Your gay and here to stay? That's nice, I just don't remember asking so why are you insistent on telling me?

question... was it actually choice or did they spend much of their life denying their nature (usually because of a very homophobic environment) then at some point they embraced who they are making it appear to you as if it was a choice for them

No, I asked, it was choice. You know, people can and often do "choose" to do a lot of things every day. For some, it's preference (apparently). As we all know, sometimes preferences can change over time.

It really irritates me that even on the gay issue itself, there's division. I don't understand why there are so many people out there that either believe it's a "disease" or that they were simply "born that way". Life isn't that black and white, especially with the Human variable. There's as many bisexual/bicurious individuals out there as homosexuals (if not more). Yes, a lot of the homosexuals out there were probably born with a chemical and/or hormonal imbalance that resulted in their sexual orientation. These individuals are pretty easy to identify. Then you have other people who may have been turned off to homosexuality in their past but was later exposed to it (such as at a sorority slumber party) and either disliked it and never wanted to experience it again or liked it and developed a preference for it.

Sorry for the rant. My point was that there's never a black and white answer when the human variable is involved.

Well, this actually started in May, but Germany supports gay penguin adoptions.

Tis an auspicious month for homosexuals, apparently.
Why do the heathens rage behind the firehouse?

I think you just quoted my favorite AD line. <3

Don't get me wrong about Obama. I'm so glad he's in the White House and not McCain. And it's true he has a lot on his plate right now, but seriously, throw us a bone. He's probably done about as much for gay rights as Clinton has. AKA: not so much.
