I've got to make my own image, can't find the picture I want online. This computer is the usual blackbox with blank BG, my Eee is still default.

They are wonderful, I have been on the "scenes" theme since installing. Microsoft has done a great job beautifying this operating system.

Not sure if I got it to work right for Steam games. First of all you can't do it with the shortcuts Steam makes, cause they all point to steam.exe so the only windows that will stick to the taskbar button are the Steam windows, not the game ones (which run under hl2.exe or whatever). If you link directly to the hl2.exe or whatever, that will call steam.exe which in turn calls back the hl2.exe, and IIRC this confuses Windows enough that it makes a new taskbar button instead of linking it with your pinned one. :(

Ah well maybe we'll see better Windows 7 taskbar support as the release draws closer. I'm sure plenty of Valve devs will want to sticky L4D and TF2 in their taskbars.

I just enabled the Quick Launch and added it back. I use it for lots of stuff I don't launch and run often. I keep my taskbar only full of stuff I usually leave running for extended periods (Digsby, Zune, Firefox, Outlook, etc).

  1. Why your icons so TINY? Bigger icons are easier to hit in the world of 1280x1024 and up! :) They look nicer as wll. System tray takes up less space and gives you the date by the click, too.

Why do you have your taskbar horizontal? You should make it vertical. It's more efficient use of space, as it allows 3 columns of systray icons at a time, meaning I don't need to hide any of them. Also, the clock will show not only the time and date, but the day. Also, quick launch will imitate the systray and give you 3 columns as well. Plus, the buttons are wider than they are tall, meaning they stack better vertically. Finally, having it horizontal on the middle edge of 2 monitors (preferably your secondary, so you can see alerts coming in when you're in a game) means you don't have to drag your mouse to the corner of the one monitor every time you want to use the start menu or click on something on the taskbar. It's in the middle, the closest you can be.

Because I am too lazy to delete the auto install to desktop icon.
Big icons suck.

Why would you click the start menu when you've got a windows key?

The windows key was introduced when, around 1996? It's funny that it was virtually completely useless until Vista's release 10 years later.
