theres pleeeeeeentyyyyyyyyy of rock music that is much better then that garbage. I listen to mostly death and tech metal so i guess im just used to phenominal musicianship.

So stuff like Dragonforce? Clever as it is, it gets very samey very quickly. And that's coming from someone who likes green day, and their 3 chord progressions or whatever.

Technically brilliant doesn't always equal great to listen to.

I like DragonForce because it's fun, not because it's technically good. They have some pretty awesome power ballads.

Jin i love how you just focused on the vocal aspect of things. Look up the bands The Faceless, Veil of Maya, Whitechapel, Meshuggah, and My Bitter End and stand corrected.

Depends. Thats dependent on the band. Listen to the faceless. They're a perfect combination of both. A band that is all technical without substance would be someone like braindrill.

first of all your other post proves why i hate labeling things under genres. What the hell is tech metal o_O

Anyway I listen to loud, technically proficient bands like that sometimes. ex- I enjoy Between the Buried and Me, but I get boredddd of them fast!

btbam is pretty awesome. they do get boring though after awhile i will agree. tech metal is an advanced form of death metal.
