If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

"I'm not dead yet." Well, on CNN, he isn't dead yet.

2009-06-25, 3:08 PM #6
I'd edit the title to add a question mark, but alas, I cannot.
2009-06-25, 3:10 PM #7
He isn't dead yet on anything apart from "TMZ".

Also that story reads like it was written by a 10 year old.
nope.
2009-06-25, 3:13 PM #8
Thats TMZ for you.
Anyway, Someone called the local radio station (Which has had MJ music on all day) saying that nobody should care, and you should stop playing crappy music.
Awesome troll.
2009-06-25, 3:14 PM #9
TMZ is a horrible source of gossip and stupid.
[01:52] <~Nikumubeki> Because it's MBEGGAR BEGS LIKE A BEGONI.

If it's true, it really really really sucks. Despite how creepy of a dude he was (and perhaps a pedophile) he also made some DAMN fine music

BBC is saying that there are unconfirmed reports that he is either dead or in a coma.
2009-06-25, 3:20 PM #12
oh no IRG, SF gold is gonna get mad at you because he probably told his whole community false information, once again!

2009-06-25, 3:21 PM #13
What?
2009-06-25, 3:27 PM #14

CNN is reporting coma.
"Harriet, sweet Harriet - hard-hearted harbinger of haggis."
2009-06-25, 3:29 PM #16
CNN might be playing safe. They don't want to lose credibility if they report false information.

2009-06-25, 3:30 PM #17
Nobody has confirmed anything yet anyway.
nope.
2009-06-25, 3:31 PM #18
That sucks if he's dead
2009-06-25, 3:38 PM #19
It's true.

Then why read or even bother to post in a topic about it? Obviously your statement is incorrect. That's just disrespectful man.

CNN (finally) confirmed with the LA coroner.

Regardless of how creepy he was, his music was very catchy. RIP.
2009-06-25, 4:28 PM #34
good music, weird dude, ****ty
2009-06-25, 5:23 PM #35
Wow, two people in one day. Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson.
Nothing to see here, move along.
2009-06-25, 5:24 PM #36
to be honest, why do people care so much, people die everyday, good people

why do americans pour their hearts into these pathetic celebrities who will do anything for attention
2009-06-25, 5:27 PM #37
Because it's to distract from their own ****ty lives. To make them believe that life is good. To believe that we, as a nation, are truely great and prosperous.
I can't wait for the day schools get the money they need, and the military has to hold bake sales to afford bombs.

You only say this because neither of you are celebrities. Not that I am either, but if you realize, celebrities are people who we look up to for the simple reason that we need some sort of guidance or someone to admire.
Nothing to see here, move along.
2009-06-25, 5:32 PM #39
Plus Michael Jackson was a truely talented musician and everyone likes music.

Well, apart from Obi.
nope.

Plenty of good people do die every day, and those that loved that person mourn.

At the base of it, it isn't any different in cases like Michael's, and other celebrities. Celebrities are loved by many within a community (some celebrities are local, some national, some multi-national, and so on). Those people within that community liked/loved him (or whomever) and, as a result are grieving the loss of someone they cared for, to some degree at least.

Different people have different reasons for liking or loving someone that much to be able to grieve for it.

In Michael's case he was loved worldwide by MANY fans thanks to his long-standing career and influence on the pop music industry. As a result, these are the people who are mourning his passing.
