Well the first time you hit Iraq you left them on fire and in rubble.

No. Iraq was once the most powerful country in the middle east, back when Baghdad was the capital of things.

9.1% of the nation is unemployed (Michigan leading the charge @ 14.1%)

People are graduating high school with 5th grade education.

A very large portion of the population still believes the world was created 6,000 years ago and probably we're at the center of the universe

$11,489,560,999,310.74

Practically every nation on this planet can ruin us economically by saying these words in their respective language: "Ok, time to pay up!" But it will be mostly China.

I'd say we've kicked Iraq's *** twice, if you only count their legitimate government.

First time the gulf war, second time the "war on terror" when we took out the government and army in a matter of a week or so. (NOTE: NOT talking about the terrorists before anyone starts a ****storm.)

No they can't. The world economy is a MAD situation, with the US at the center. If we go down, they all go down; including the one that did it to us.

Disregard the fact that if any country tried that Obama would be like "Hahahahahaha!! ....uh, no."

* Ostensibly, we are at the center of the observable universe.

* No, to say that practically every nation on the planet can ruin us economically is absurd.

* The unemployment rate has little to do with how great a country is; it only signifies that it hasn't yet changed its economic paradigm to something more sensible, and that's because of corruption.

* Fifth grade education allows for reading, writing, and arithmetic and therefore autodidacticism. All else is fluff. Therefore your beef is with human nature, not any country in particular.

* As for the national debt, if it can be 11 trillion, what's another 11 trillion? Honest question. (My point is, economic wizardry can be performed to justify anything. At this point, using the national debt as justification for some horrible wrongdoing is fairly archaic.)

So what this boils down to, basically, is that America is corrupt. Just like every other country, state, and city in the history of humanity.

Don't forget that more than half of the country doesn't have any idea what America even is..or WAS...and has no respect for that anyway.

Happy 4th of July! Maybe in a few years it'll be one of those vestigial holidays, where the original meaning doesn't even apply anymore, but hey, hotdogs!

A few years? How many is a 'few'? It hasn't changed in my lifetime, despite people *****ing about the downfall of American values.
2009-07-04, 1:34 PM #37
Dull people tend to ***** about the decline of values and how things used to be run more efficiently in their day. Bright people understand that most dull old people do that, whether it's 2009 or 1225 or 300 BC.

JM, it has changed in your lifetime. It's always changing. Whether that's for better or for worse really depends on your point of view.

Free, I'm pretty sure things were not run more efficiently "in my day". But then again, I'm also pretty sure that "my day" is basically right now, since I'm only 21. But you're right, I am pretty dull.
