Sorry, I was not specific. I mean't it was ironic because that day I was offered the Intrepid 96 and posted in this thread, the day I had a car accident.
Nothing to see here, move along.

That's not ironic, it's coincidental.
2009-10-14, 10:04 AM #43
Yeah, that isn't irony.

Does it help that I had earlier that day told a friend I had never had a car accident, and never will because I'm a good driver?

An example of irony would be if you had a car accident because you drove a car designed to avoid accidents.

An example of irony would be if Pommy was bad at math and was a good driver.

It would be ironic if you crashed into the specific car which was being offered.

is this story ironic?

I tried to buy a Mitsubishi Eclipse several years ago. It was already pretty tricked out, and I was getting a really good deal, so I was pretty excited. He was only selling because he was having financial problems and needed the money. Then, the guy backed out of it at the last second. After about a week, I finally reconvinced him to sell (even offering to pay a bit more than originally agreed to, and still getting a pretty good deal). He backed out again at the last minute. Then about 3 days later, someone broke into the parking garage for his apartment complex and bashed the car with a baseball bat and stole the stereo/sound system. The vandalism was not covered by his insurance and he was left with a piece of junk and no money.

no. just sad. and funny.

irony is when the opposite of what you expect happens.

well that was the opposite of what I expected. Rather than me driving away in a pretty eclipse with no money, I rode my bike away with money in my pocket.

and rather than the other guy walking away with money and no car, he walked away with nothing.

did he seriously leave massassi
2009-10-17, 8:56 PM #67
Well.. His last activity on Massassi was 16 hours ago. Based on that, TE, I can say for certain that he has left and never plans to return.

Either that or he's got better **** to do..... Which I think is more likely.
