Yeah, when I first heard about achievements I thought it could be interesting.
If you only got points for doing impressive and/or ridiculous things, then it would mean a little more if someone had a high score.
But instead you get achievements for every stupid little thing and instead of being something to be proud of it's just really annoying watching the stupid "achievement" pop-up appear all the time breaking game immersion.
