Yes you would. But then Jesus came. I'll let an actual Christian expand on that.

I guess I'll take the cue. Jesus was God's "new covenant", that essentially rendered the old ways obsolete. According to the Bible, before Jesus, to purge sin you had to sacrifice a "perfect" animal. But, since Jesus was literally the perfect sacrifice, he could take all the sins of man upon himself, and the concept of divine forgiveness was created.

I really doubt what I just typed was anything close to coherent, and you're probably more confused now that when I started, but hey, it's 10:30, and I'm tired.

Some of you should learn to think a bit and discover - *gasp* - that someone can dislike Michael Moore, Kerry, and Bush!

Isn't swearing a sin too? I dunno, all the most profane/obscene people I know are Christian. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

There's nothing in the Bible about specific words being "bad." It's how you use them that makes them offensive.

Essentially true, except the animal sacrifices merely covered your sins, rather than removing them.

For a healty meal, eat mashed potatoes, peas, and catloaf.
Massassi's cuttin' into my free time, man.
Valuable Life Lesson: Frog + Potato Gun = Blindness
Worship Examples - Christians' love for God should be seen and heard, not merely talked about. It is through actions that one is determined to be Christian, not through words. Words (and thoughts, as well) deceive even one's own self, but the heart speaks truth.
Catloaf, meet mouseloaf.
