also this update is awesome I'm glad they added a little more creativity to the update formula

Does this alter the way people play? Are folk sacrificing the team they're on for the sake of chasing down a soldier or demoman? If so, that's pretty cool :)

I chased a lone demoman back into the starting half of a PL map (we were spawning in the middle and the cart was near the end). He killed me though. :(

But then I remembered how to properly play soldier and killed those sons of mothers! Oo-rah!

Also it shows a nifty counter on the HUD.

That is ****ing inspired. It's stuff like this that makes me want to forget the £50 I paid for VMWare Fusion, change my XP partition to a Boot Camp partition and play some proper games.

this is making me think i should pick up tf2 again. tf2 isn't like riding a bike, if you haven't played in a long time you're not going to pick it right back up again.

Yeah, that's part of why I just couldn't get into it. That and my brain has long been trained on counterstrike, so other multiplayer fps seem off to me unless they have the same kind of... I dunno, physics? gun accuracies? I have no idea, I just know that a lot of them feel 'off'.
Incedentally, COD:WaW was an exception, that felt quite good, previous COD's though, ugh!

I wish the effort the makers of TF2 put into their project is contagious. No microcharges for hats. No replacements or expansion packs to cash in on the original excitement. They really care about the community, and the humor and life it breathes into the game is great.

Some lucky pos last night ran into a glitch where he got all the new weapons at once. The items server was down because of the big load and it was causing weird glitches (Valve seems to have tried to make TF2 sorta work if it's down but it doesn't really still). I got the Equalizer but was unable to equip it. :(

Curse you soldiers!!! Curse you!! I like the soldiers new loadout better than the demo's... Though the new sticky gun is interesting.
