Yeah but in light of the event known as New Years Eve-eve-New Years Eve-New Years Day it's definitely a good idea.

I'm going to continue to work towards starting my own restaurant. I'm going to find a part-time job. I'm going to go back to school. I'm going to buy local first. I'm going to continue to sell everything that I don't use. I'm going to continue to cut expenses (e.g. using less water & electricity). I'm going to read more. I'm going to continue cooking from scratch & eating healthy. I'm going to continue camping & hiking as often as possible.

What kind of restaurant? I'm sure everyone knows but I've been out of the loop!

We're toying around with several ideas at the moment but it's honestly a bit early to say. Ideally we'd like to do French because that's what we're familiar with but that may not be possible. Much of it will be dependent upon the areas that are available at the time we're interested in buying/leasing. We looked at a building in a small railroad town yesterday that was built in 1875. It has a lot of potential & there's a 2500 square foot loft upstairs that we could convert in to an apartment & rent out or live in ourselves. It would only succeed as a destination restaurant of some sort.

Like a Massassi theme?

That's awesome though. Keep us all updated.

I'd say it would be a bad idea to live above the restaurant. If it fails, the bank would get your living space too!

Well, I have a couple:

Lose about 25 pounds in the next 3 months. That starts tomorrow. I've gained back so much weight this past year it's ridiculous and embarrassing. Fat-T.

Practice the bass at least twice a week apart from rehearsals. This is already in action since a class on technique started Monday - and it's 5-days a week through January.

I would agree if it was a really expensive place but it's cheap enough to where the monthly payment for the entire building (5000-7000 square feet & 1/2 acre) is less than what we're currently paying for our apartment, especially once we have 20% as collateral. We could also move in with my parents (they have 2 spare bedrooms & 4 acres of land within 5 miles) & rent out the apartment if we had to. We're not set on getting this place though, it's just the first place that we've looked at & it's still going to be quite some time before we're ready to choose a location. We have about 2-3 ideas that we think will also generate income during the renovation phase.
? :)

Among a couple of other things, as far as massassi goes, I'm planning to finish and release at least two old JK projects I should have released years ago.

Actually, it's a MotS project and a JK project.

I've had a CTF map that I've been working on for years that I never released. I'd really love to finish it but sometimes I feel like it'll just be a waste of time since there aren't that many people out there that would appreciate a good CTF map anymore. All of the data is on a floppy disk also & I no longer have a floppy disk drive, haha.

Edit: You know what? **** it. I'm going to buy an external floppy disk drive & try to finish these ****ers.

2 more items that will go hand in hand, imo.

that is AWESOME! living in a loft above the restaurant would actually probably make things easier. yeah it sounds risky, but it usually ends up being cheaper and easier to manage everything. good luck sir! and if you do get it up and running let us know! i would totally make it out to eat there!
