Up in the Air really depressed me for some reason. Great movie, but it left me in a sad mood for the weekend.

You kidding? The movie just staggered from one depressing scene to the next, and capped it off with her death.

It's been a while since I saw it, but wasn't that meant to be a comment about the futility of war whilst also letting the girl live forever in a happier time (afterlife)?

Sometimes you can take a death at the end of a film to be a release.

I saw the whole thing as her going nuts due to stress.
Truly great movies have several interpretations.
So does ME2.

Pan's Labyrinth didn't have a sad ending! She went to live as a princess in the underground kingdom forever and ever. Right? Right?!

Teeth.

Kidding, I never watched it (reasons are obvious).

I don't usually watch depressing movies, so I can't really think of any. Will post back when I think of one.

Gattaca is amazing, but I'd 2nd a vote for it to be depressing.

"Harriet the Spy" (like 12 years ago but still..)

also "Jack"

I think there's something about movies with accelerated/reversed ageing.
