There were huge crowds lining the streets of NY this morning awaiting an annoucement! You can also see here that the NYPD is doing a good job of keeping things under control.



TV crews were everywhere while people were trying to catch a glimpse of the spectacle.

Ok so I'm home now and extremely tired. And if I'm tired, just spare a thought for poor Izzy!

Seriously, the respect I have for every woman who has ever given birth is immense. Izzy was a total trooper, and I've never seen her more determined. She shoved and pushed and willed that little boy out of her and it was by and far the most difficult thing she's ever done. She did the vast majority of it with very little pain relief, never cried and only swore once.

Freddie is very healthy, disturbingly cute considering he looks like I did when i was a baby (my parents are a little freaked out by the resemblance), and has already done a huuuuuuuge crap all over Iz.

She's staying in the hospital just for the night, (she gets help from the nurses feeding him during the night) and I've been sent home to get some sleep. Which is good, because I've been up for what feel like a very long time.

So yes, mum and baby are doing fine, and I'm in no place to complain. Because my wife is hardcore.

Oh, and you can have this freebie for now. I've got better pictures but they're on Izzy's camera which is at the hospital.
