UPDATE:
Hi everyone, thanks for all the messages of support
Things aren't going
quite as smoothly as we thought earlier - Freddie's had to go to the special care unit and be put in an incubator as his lungs have got some fluid still in them from the delivery (it wasn't an easy birth: they had to use a ventouse suction cup on his head to help get him out). He's otherwise very healthy, and all this is mainly a precaution. He's getting great care from the nurses there, and Izzy's with him at the hospital tonight getting some well earned sleep (while I was asleep last night he went over to special care).
So it might sound a little scary, but considering he's surrounded by little tiny premature and otherwise very sick babies he sort of looks like a big healthy monster baby who will eat the other ones when the midwife looks away. He's been on a drip (and still is as of 9pm this evening when I left), but if he takes enough milk tomorrow and doesn't throw it up he'll come off the drip which is good.
Just thought I'd keep you all in the loop, seeing as you've been so jolly about it all
And now, I will grab some well earned shut-eye. Night all.
