So what does that tell us about the people at map-craft?

I don't see any overly persuasive arguments here one way or the other.
"The letters JA form an acronym corresponding to the name Jedi Academy. The letters JKA do not."

This is an extremely effective and persuasive argument. This argument literally cannot be contradicted. If you disagree, the problem is hardware related.

It's like referring to Half-Life 2 as "H2." It's nonsensical.

More like referring to Half-Life 2 as "HLG2"
(Half Life Gordan 2)

Even worse: HGL 2 (Half Gordon Life 2)

For once I completely agree with Jon!

Honestly I'm not surprised how "JKA" came into existence. The vast majority of the JA/JO community was the same wretched mass of cretins that constantly used vile variations of the word "lame" to describe everything (i.e. "laming" "lamer" "lames", what the ****). And to add to that, if you checked JA's MP server listing to this day, some of these creatures are still left. The only people tolerable were some cool folks in the modding community but beyond that, I hope the rest either grew up by now or died.

Are you referring to the "Nar" crowd that now inhabits #jk?

I'm sure that's what is being referenced.

i think the most persuasive argument is that its not called Jedi Knight Academy. at all. ever. its title is Jedi Outcast 2: Jedi Academy.

second most is that a popular JK mod here at massassi was called Jedi Knight: Arena, abbreviated JKA.

both of these things add up to JKA not even remotely being an appropriate abbreviation for Jedi Academy, or JA.

I came in here to post this as well. Whenever I see JKA, I think of the mod Jedi Knight Arena.
