This has nothing to do with masculinity. It's a whole generation of american boys turning into whiny little sissies who care more about whether their low-top socks match the color of the fabric on the inside of their shoes than having a little bit of passion for something that actually matters. They're all too busy looking at each other and trying to fit in with the other morons at their school to actually find a real hobby where you actually, you know, do stuff.
I certainly don't have a problem with people playing video games, watching movies, being lazy. But when it consumes your whole life and when you're more excited about a new pokeman game with a pedometer and stupid fuzzy animals than finding a girlfriend (or hell, a boyfriend, if you're so inclined), going on a trip, or doing something outside it becomes a problem.
I'm going to post a new thread shortly, but I just want you to know, if I asked the same question to my step son, he would list video games, movies, and shopping.
