Disney says no to fake breasts in Pirates 4

Quote:
To make sure LA talent scouts don't get caught in a "booby trap," potential lassies will have to undergo a Hollywood-style jiggle-your-jugs test and jog for judges. If there's nothing moving from the waist up, they're saying, it's a dead giveaway that you're not all flesh and bones—and you're out.

If I have artistic skills, I would draw a small sketch of Mickey and his buddies Donald and Goofy being the inspectors for the "jiggle test."

Unfortunately, the technology to realistically taste breasts lags behind the demand in the film industry.

I hear the fourth one is an adaptation of On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers.

Also, Misty shouldn't complain : Pokemon dig her, and she has a big rack for a ten year old.

Unic and Wife story ended. There's still fun tales to be told about Jack Sparrow, which is what the movie is focusing on. Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan will not be back. Barbossa, however, will. :D

Hopefully this'll be a return to the roots and a step away from the wackyness off the second and third.

There was a perfect opening for that fountain of youth storyline though. :P

Plus without Bloom and Knightley there won't be as many unich or rum jokes.
nope.

WTF is an unic/unich? You mean eunuch?

But Elizabeth Swan is Queen of Pirates, and William Turner ferries those that die at sea to the underworld.

How can they not be involved with the adventures of pirates?

The same way that the queen and prince phillip have nothing to do with the adventures of brits. :P
nope.

Yeh, really I pulled the spelling out of my ass. :P I knew it wasn't right but I didn't have time to look up the real spelling from work.

I got better things to do with my 2 seconds than satisfy grammar-nazis, including posting this post!

On a side note, looks like Penelope Cruz will be playing the leading lady. The casting makes sense since Sparrow and Barbossa will be sailing to Florida for the Fountain of Youth.

Get it? Ship... cause it's a movie that has ships in it!
And the ship in the movie would have sailed, so by saying "That ship sailed a long time ago." he is comparing that widely used phrase to what happens in the movie!
2010-03-22, 5:02 PM #35
yeah, after two sequels of nothing but recycled jokes I'm pretty sure they aren't gonna hurt the franchise too much

Actually I didn't even realize it was a pun. I guess using a common idiom that can be related to something within the subject is lame right?

The franchise was never that great past the first movie. Even its best characters (Sparrow, Barbossa, Commodore Norrington) grew wackier by the movie, losing any ounce of credibility and what little seriousness still existed.

I still await the fourth impatiently, but I really hope they revisit about more seriousness to their characters. Even Jack Sparrow was significantly sillier in the second and third film, and I really felt they pushed his character in the wrong direction.

Here's to hoping the fourth changes this. A new director might well be a step in the right direction.

To me, the whole series was pretty forgettable. I watched 'em, but I didn't get into them I guess.

this.

even the first one was mediocre. The only good performance was Johnny Depp's.
