:awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome:

So those of you that are watching/downloading it from the interwebs what were your thoughts about the new Doctor Who?

I think I might have just creamed my shorts; The writing, music, acting etc was all ****ing excellent. The only downpoint I can think of was the traditionally dodgy BBC effects. I've definately warmed up to Matt Smith right away despite my reservations from the odd wee snippet that they'd put out.

You all know I'm crap at starting off threads, but I think I'm going to go watch that again.

Also Karen Gillan is cute. Despite being ginger.
nope.

Yeah, I thought it was really good. I was more worried about Russell T Davies leaving than Tennant, but Moffat did a great job with that episode.

It's hard to judge Matt Smith on that episode, as The Doctor is always in an odd transitional phase in the first few episodes and it's difficult to see exactly what sort of personality Matt Smith will have as The Doctor yet.

I love it when they show pictures of the old Doctors. They don't do it very often, but it really shows that this is just one piece in an epic legacy.

I have to wait 14 days, but i did listen to the new theme music, the beginning of it sucks, its like a bad remix that sounds all dark and mysterious but isnt actually how it goes

Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I'm not a big Doctor Who fan or anything, but I watched it and I enjoyed it.
I'm guessing I enjoyed it more than other episodes, because I guess it's kinda new for everyone, being a new Doctor. So I didn't feel so out of place not knowing what the frak was going on.

it was pretty awesome. i was excited for Stephen Moffat taking over. (I loved Jekyll. would have enjoyed seeing Nesbitt as The Doctor.) I'm glad it paid off. i'm looking forward to seeing Matt Smith being the new badass doctor, who isnt afraid to do what needs doing....

I don't know if I'd call it "awesome", but I definitely liked it. I like Moffat's style. He made a potentially boring storyline quite suspenseful.

I think it also helped that my expectations were so low, and that I held no hope for Matt Smith. He's no Tennant, but he's not as bad as I assumed he'd be. Even Tennant got better as he went I guess.

i rememebre watching a BBC interview last friday and stephen Moffet was saying that they do as much as they can withthe budget they got which is fair enough. the BBC special effects arnt the best but they try you can see that.

im still not sure about it as i get the feeling it could get dumbed down. im going to be fair and diplomatic so im giving it 2 more episodes and if i dont like it them thats it.

I'm resurrecting this thread because I didn't realize the UK already watched the 2nd episode and the 3rd airs tomorrow. Episode 2 looked kinda... I don't know... weird? Goofy? How was it you Britassians?

I can't find Ep2 on Youtube. :( I guess I'll have to wait a few weeks and catch it on iTunes.
