This guy is either a god of subtle comedy, or a delusional eccentric.

I see a guy called Todd Friel co-hosts with Kirk. I've heard Christopher Hitchens on a Todd Friel show. Christopher ripped Todd apart.

What's funny, and really sad, is that the radio host thinks it's the other way around. He's so blind and stupid and isn't able to think for himself or even understand basic questions.

Yeah. I guess the best way for us to evolve is for the most intelligent of us to have more children. Sadly, it's usually the other way round. Says something about which aspects of our species we had to use the most to evolve. :)

I liked Idiocracy too, but it's not actually happening. There are plenty of papers that indicate educational outcome, the most popular metric of intelligence, is actually a function of educational environment. There's no evidence of our declining intellect, there's plenty of evidence that we're getting smarter, and most of the counter-arguments are based entirely on class discrimination.

Yes! Humans have hyper-selected for intelligence, just like how peacocks have selected for a huge tail. Intelligence is the most attractive characteristic in a [male] partner, but it's hard to see if your criteria of intelligence are heavily biased. i.e. your high school's star quarterback may not be as good at math, but he's socially competent.

No, it's probably not. It's just baffling to me how many complete morons there are still out there. Of course, the same could probably be argued for any period during our civilization...

I have a valid point, though (irregardless of its relevance to the argument at hand) - if intelligent and educated people would have had more children than the minds not as fortunate, then the situation would've been different. Hell, the entire world would've been different.

I think what you meant to say irregardless of what you typed, was that if people who you think are intelligent had more children than the people who disagreed with you, then the entire world would suck.

I think you both meant to say regardless.

JM was totally mocking him for exactly that. But we forgive him because it's english.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/irregardless

It's essentially a bastardized form of the word regardless.

And while I think I see the point that you're trying to make, does my use of the word really make you think that I am unable to tell the difference between an intelligent human being and an idiot?

No, it just pisses us off as much as "could care less".

<_<

Both of those just make me irrationally angry. I know they're just words, but they make my piss boil.

Well, you do have a valid point. I'll try to be more careful in my use of language. A gentleman, after all, is someone who never offends another person by accident.
