Best smart phone on Verizon (with some requirements)

I've been doing some reading into Droid vs Inc. reviews, and apparently the Sense UI is just a smoother "rom", if you will, then vanilla Android. Apparently they are on the verge of rooting the Inc as well, which would be a GREAT thing. I guess in the end I'd probably upgrade if I could, but by the time I am able to in the fall, there will be something better.

One thing that does suck about Android 2.1, on an overclocked phone or not, is that they lowered the framerate limit from 60 (2.0) to 30 (2.1). Why, I haven't a clue, but it is definitely noticeable.

Well. Based on someone who has the phone...

It's not the only phone to limit to 30fps. WinMo7 will do it as well, I know that. I think they do it for numerous reasons, like improving battery life, allowing more time for background tasks, and to keep the "jitter" down, when the framerate suddenly drops a lot.

The power and data cables are the same. One side of the cable is standard usb, the other side is something proprietary, but to any verizon android phone that I've seen. The moto droid, eris, and several other phones all use the same thing

yeah, the Eris is the same way as that. the cable that comes with it looks different than a standard mini-USB, but a standard one works just fine with it.

I have an Eris. a standard "Micro-USB" as Matty calls it works on my phone JUST FINE. I can use my sister-in-law's blackberry charger to charge my phone. i can use the cable that came with my portable hard drive to connect to the computer.

Dud, if you dont believe me, give it a try. if they all really use the same cable as the eris, then they can all do this too.

Edit: Also, the car charger they sell you for the phone has a standard micro-usb end on it, and not the proprietary shape that comes in the phone's box.
