7 minutes promo clip for Mortal Kombat rebirth film

Really like the dark atmosphere, absolutely necessary for the mortal kombat universe. This is about murder, brutality, despair and falling from a bridge onto spikes.

Hope they keep the mystical aspect a bit (floating monks style)

Can't believe that dude is dissing Cyrax :(

You can freeze the youtube clip at the moment scorpion looks at his photo to see what he looks like. Looks pretty damn sweet.

The whole atmosphere has a 'saw' kind of vibe to me.

Yeah, as if you'd say that to his face

I would if I could freeze him first

I think that this promo clip did exactly what it was intended to do... it made me want to watch more.

I would go see this movie, if it were similar in style to the short.

Mega-OUCH at that move (probably a fatality) at the end of the game trailer o_O
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I'm gonna be honest, the game trailer piqued my interest a lot more than the film promo thing.
nope.

It looks like every other fighter ever, just with more blood. What made Mortal Kombat great when it was new (The sprites are photographs of actors, unprecedented realism) is long gone. Now it's just... violence for the sake of violence.

What interests me is nostalgia, really. :P
nope.

I was really excited when I first watched the film and saw Michael Jai White (I absolutely loved Spawn when I was a kid), I just couldn't wait. Then, in a matter of seconds, I was shot down when I found out it was just a cheap short film, and almost no hopes and a feature coming.

Same thing happened with Max Payne. I saw a short film that was played off like a trailer, but then no actual movie. Sure, it did finally come out, years later and with not nearly as much desire.

Yeah, and he is a kind of free man.

Ha ha... Someone knows his latin, although I don't know what the emphasis on 'kind' was meant to imply (maybe I'm just too drunk). However, I don't think he was speaking of me. Maybe I should say, I hope he isn't speaking of me because that would be a bit far off topic, and I don't want this thread to stray too much.

I would explain but as I said, I don't want to get off topic, so I will make it short. I am kind of new. Been here a while but had not logged on in about a year and a half (hey... it was a busy year). In doing so, forgot my username & pass. I had to make a new account and now I am back.
