I hope not, because that was an incorrect depiction of how cortosis works. Cortosis is supposed to basically short out the lightsaber, causing it to deactivate on impact, not simply repel it.

While that may well be "true," that's not how it works in the KotoR universe. Remember all the fights with cortosis blades against lightsabers in the first game?

Whatever, it's easy to retcon. There are different cortosis compounds. By doping cortosis with other elements, one can achieve resisting behavior or deactivation behavior. :tfti:

So as to resist blaster fire? I suppose armor reinforced with cortosis resistant to lasers would cope better in a firefight than the one where it only short-circuits lightsabers. :suicide:

And then again, if they would've adhered to the canon, you wouldn't have been able to have sword fights in the first few hours of KotoR.
