No, did do a couple achievement servers.

I also once or twice started up a local server, then forgot it was running after alt tabbing away. Or I was just exploring a map. Got a couple long-lived times by accident that way. IIRC the engie one is authentic though.

I think they were being sarcastic, I think you can do the same thing and still keep it bound to any button/key using a short console script.

Love that soldier, so glad they added achievements for him but haven't gotten around to getting many of them yet :(
