I think that only applies outside of the dreams.

After all, you still don't know how it'd act holding it in the dreamstate. You'd need to handle it in real life first to have that experience, to know the trick.

Just saw it again.

This time around I paid attention to the clothes the children are wearing, Phillipa is wearing a pink throw-over dress. James is wearing tan shorts and a plaid shirt, dominantly white with black lines with patches of orange. At the end of the film Phillipa is still wearing a pink dress, but it has straps and she is wearing a white shirt under it. I couldn't be sure if James changes at all, if so it was a slightly more colorful plaid on his shirt.

The credits also list two actors per-character.

Claire Geare ... Phillipa (3 years)
Magnus Nolan ... James (20 months)

Taylor Geare ... Phillipa (5 years)
Johnathan Geare ... James (3 years)
(taken from IMDB)

So take what you will from that. The older actors could have just been the voices he hears on the phone.

Using twins to play a single child in movies is quite common due to child labor laws that limit the amount of time young children can spend on a set.

My girlfriend paid a lot of money for that tv; I want to watch ALL OF IT. - JM

Just saw it. Freakin' awesome.

I'd have to see it again to decide what I really think of the ending, but I think it's good no matter how you see it. It really did make me think of game design a lot too.

That being the case I would think it's strange that they would specify them as having different ages in the credits rather than filling the role with both names.

I thought the point of that was so that you know you are the only person who knows it's trick function. That way, you can put trust in it to behave how you expect. I don't think they are really tied to the mechanics of the shared dreaming technology. Just a reality check like most lucid dreamers use.

If they picked it up in a dream, it wouldn't matter because it wouldn't be the same feel. That's the idea, anyway.

I saw this movie a week ago. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Probably the best movie I've seen since Children of Men.

I think the dark knight was better than Children of men?

Just saw it. Keeping track of the dream levels was interesting. It was cool how they echoed a bunch of the lines throughout the movie too. That didn't really throw me off, but it got me distracted trying to figure out how the movie was laying itself out.

I said this to you last night, but now I'll share with the world!

My immediate reaction when the screen went back was a smile. I guess the way the story went, I didnt really care if he was in a dream or not. I still dont care. I was just happy to see Cobb happy

The moment you saw the spinning top it was pretty obvious it would end with the spinning top spinning in an inconclusive and annoying way
I was still disappointed to find I was right about that, I also thought there was too much action for the kind of movie it was, or almost was. I also thought the whole gravity thing was pretty silly.
Still, it was a very good movie.
