Well in Steven's defense, it is totally possible to use a heat gun to soften up the bumper for molding. However it would take a great deal of time/patience and a little skill to get it looking just right. It would "pop" back into place yes, but not pefectly. Some parts you would have to heat until the bumper was totally pliable and then mold yourself. After that you'd just have to sand/prime and have a shop do the painting. (never paint at home unless you've got constructed a booth, it WILL show, trust me on that one....)

Funny story time -- I used to detail cars by trade, and one time I was using a heat gun to remove a sticker from the bumper in conjunction with a solvent and a plastic scraper. Unfortunately I overheated the bumper and the scraper went clear through the bumper like it was play dough. Thank god it was also a body shop and that my boss only found pure comedy in the situation. what did suck however, was having to stay an extra 4 hours to fix it without being paid to fix my screwup -- sidenote: bondo does wonders.
