Carrie Fisher says she did cocaine during ESB

Well Guys now we all now that nobody is perfect and we all have our weakness's. When Star Wars came out the first ever I was about 12-13 and was totally blown away and I have been a fan ever since. Carrie fisher starred in some cheap dick teaser movie called "shampoo" some time after ep-4 and I was totally appalled like couchman is today.

One year later Mark Hamill starred in a Movie called Corvette Summer, it was ok for a cheesey late 70's flick, especially because I love muscle cars, but I felt let down from my Star Wars Hero's, that they lowered their standards for some low budget piece of **** and portrayed not so heroic characters. Mark Hamill was more of a wuss in Corvette Summer than he was in Ep-4.

The One Actor that did not and has still not let me down was my old buddy Harrison Ford, and even if he likes to drink and maybe had smoke weed some time or other, so what, I do to. He has always been my favorite actor out of Star Wars. he carried on the heroic tradition and displayed professional acting that was out of this world.

Carrie Fisher was also in The Blues Brothers and The Burbs. You cannot speak foul of this.

Now Blues Brothers and the Burbs was a whole different story, and I think Carrie Fisher had that "MILF" appearance better than ever. She was hot in that movie. Its just they lowered their standards for **** like "shampoo" and Corvette Summer "BARF".

I do have to relate a bit. Everytime I watch Seinfeld, that whole over-blown incident with Michael Richards kinda skewed my view of the lovable Kramer. Skewed may not be the right word, but I can't help reminding myself about that whole fiasco with that actor even if doesn't remotely come into play with his character on screen.

I'm sort of the same way, but Kramer is so damned funny that I forget about it after laughing for a bit.

Really? The morals of an actor skews his performance? How could you ever appreciate any media, then? I say, most people are **** and there's no reason to expect a person that assumes the roles of others to have a moral compass that matches mine. I don't even watch movies with characters that are only aligned with my own morals, why would the actor matter?

You know, "I'll go powder my nose" would be a great euphemism for "I'll go snort cocaine". In fact I'm surprised if it already isn't.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Yeah it is. But you're probably being funny. I'm not sure.

Anyway...

It's just like Pete Townshend, who was convicted for (watching) child pornography. Sure it's disgusting, but it doesn't make me like The Who any less.

He wasn't convicted of anything and the police never found anything incriminating whatsoever on any of his computers.

He did admit visiting a website for research though.
nope.

Roman Polanski is a pervert and Chinatown is still a really good movie.

Yeah. Jeffery something or other.

He's still in tons of good stuff. The lesson here is, a actor/athlete/whatever's personal life has nothing to do with their professional life. Ray Lewis was charged with murder, but acquitted, yet a lot of people still hate him for it.

This sort of thing is ridiculous to me. You don't personally know these people, so why would it upset you?

You are taking it to the extreme. Big time.

The point I was trying to make, poorly I admit, was that the image of an actor outside of his official performances sometimes gets in the way, to some degree, of my experience with his onstage acting. I mean, there are reasons why certain actors go to great lengths to not bring a bad light upon themselves: to preserve a good, clean image while they are performing. It is all about images, at the end of the day.

Everytime I see Mel Gibson on the screen in a movie, I am briefly reminded of the whole JEWS ordeal. Is that going to stop me from enjoying, let's say, Braveheart? No. Does it really make his performance in the film automatically bad? No. But I will associate, in my mind, the actor and his intimate thoughts on Jews despite that having no relation in the context of the movie. It's natural.

The phenomenon ECHOMAN speaks of is the specific reason many renowned actors try to keep their personal lives out of the public eye. Daniel Day Lewis and Kevin Spacey come to mind for instance.

Yes, Braveheart is in no way set in a country filled with bigoted alcoholics. :P

To be fair though, you could kinda tell that just by looking at him.

Whoops. :ninja:

Different example. Tom Cruise is a tool, but I still find him brilliant in Magnolia, Eyes Wide Shut.

One day, when you're older, you'll come to learn not everybody has the same types or interests.
Also, I have a gf, so I wouldn't do her regardless unless my gf wanted to too

What are you talkin about I am older than most of you guys and of course in reality, Carrie has more dignity than that to be a cheap whore, she went through some difficulties in life as well as most of us and i think that she deserves some respect. Like I said above she has a better life style than these other skanky bittches like lohan and miley. Of course there is a massive age difference.

Who knows, they might discover lohan dead somewhere with a needle in her arm and so that the media can elaborate on that as well.

The media is always all over celebrity problems, if they're covering Carrie now it's because it's an extremely slow news day

I know you're supposed to be older than the Massassi average, but this seriously reads like it was written by a 13 year old boy.

Darth Dan buys into the media obsession that young actresses and singers are whores. You know that publicity exists for the sake of publicity, right?

That's exactly why I went with the "when you're older" line. He took it to mean physically older but oh well ;)

I dont buy anything from the media and if I do most if it is not in a positive perspectivness. I for one, even if I was younger could care less for all these self absorbed celebrities, especially Lohan, what the hell does she do or have that posses talent?

I really could care less for some of these so-called talented artist's.
