What has annoyed you lately?
2011-01-28, 11:40 PM #81
It seems that lately, every time I meet an attractive young lady, I'm married.

In Finland it's perfectly safe (for 99.2% of the time). Supposedly in other countries it's not. Hell, I don't know, when I was in the U.S. I was told to avoid tap water which was rather very extremely odd.

I'm proud of my life and the things that I have done, proud of myself and the loner I've become.

Where were you? Some rural areas just have awful tasting tap water. More likely, I assume, you were in a major city with perfectly good water and paranoid idiots that think it's bad for you.

Lately? People who do this ****:
Code:
try
{
    someString = obj.GetEntityObject().tableColumn;
}
catch (NullReferenceException)
{
    someString = otherObject.FromOtherObject();
}

I saw that in one of our projects and nerdraged.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Yeah, I was in NYC. Always figured those warnings were weird.

Flouride is used to control the minds of the population in my country, especially in Manhattan. Best to drink bottled water manufactured in Europe.

Also recently, foreign girls doing the winking thing. I understand it's a different culture thing that doesn't mean what I want it to, but I'm sure they do to!

For some reason I decided to trim downstairs [I have no idea why] and my beard trimmer ran out of juice halfway through. It's now sort of lopsided until this thing recharges and it's ITCHY AS HELL. .(

What annoys me the most at the moment is when I'm sitting in one of my classes and I hear my teacher telling someone how to do something incorrectly. Not just badly, but wrong.

Student: Will Photoshop save my path if I don't finish it?
Teacher: No.
Me: Really?
Teacher: I don't know.
Me: :palmface:

When someone hangs the toilet paper so it unrolls from the back instead of the front. What the hell, people.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

That does actually irk me a little for some reason... Or at least it does in my own house. Round at other peoples I don't mind so much but I still automatically swap the roll around, which probably annoys some people that prefer it round the WRONG way

Ha ha! The eternal debate. I was sick in bed watching daytime television when Martha Stewart came on. The only reason I even remember was because someone asked her what the correct way was.

"It doesn't matter which side the roll comes from, so long as it is on a holder and not just sitting around somewhere like the sink, window sill, or a ledge."

Dog-eared and foxed books still in the bookstore! >_<
That little thread on your sleeve that you dasn't pull, lest your whole cuff unravel... but which spends the day tickling the back of your wrist like a little fly. Bahhhhghh.

The fact that my university is pretty much the only one in the state that didn't shut down today and won't tomorrow. Nobody in this town knows how to drive on a quarter inch of ice, and the town doesn't seem to know how to get the ice off the roads. The last thing I wanted to do was risk my life to come in at 9 am to give a quiz to a room half-full of undergraduates. (The other half decided that they'd bail and blame the storm later. Good for them.)
