An obvious choice would be to name it after one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. However, if I had a turtle, I would go with Aesop (because of "The Tortoise & the Hare").

Hero in a Half Shell. Yurtle the Turtle. Something from mythology. (When we we were little, my brother named all his hamsters things like Hercules, Hermes, and Athena.) Roadkill. (Seriously. I knew a guy who named his turtle this.) Kermit. (Hey if Yoda qualifies for being green, so does Kermit.)

The reason you're a corporal after 5 years is because your MOS starts with 03 and you're not Rudy Reyes.

Dude, if I owned a turtle like you I would have totally picked up Sergeant after 4.

The Marine Corps is full of 4 year Sergeants (even in the Reserves) and they ALL have turtles.
