Great Album, Just bought every Pink Floyd album on Cassette recently!!! Some of you may ask, "Why would you waste time with a cassette? Its simple. I have an old 96' explorer and having inherited every Led Zepplin cassette from my mother I was already on my way to having music that I could listen to repeatedly and still be content. I was only mussing LA Woman by The Doors and All the Floyd to complete my collection of awesomeness. I joy ride alot and at the moment have a broken zune that i refuse to replace, therefore, I’m going analog *****ES!

Err, the idea is that you post only the first song you heard after you woke up. Mostly so there's not about 200 youtube links per page to load.
nope.

Also the Beatles are amazing, likewise, A Day In The Life is a great song. (except the McCartney part.... **** it)

Jesus
Thomas Payne
Ben Franklin
HP Lovecraft
Buster Keaton
JRR Tolkien
Ingrid Bergman
Hitchcock
Jimmy Stewart
Bob Hope
Fred Astaire (& Ginger Rogers)
Frank Sinatra
Dino (Dean Martin)
Steve McQueen

Its the morning and those were the first two songs I heard. Must you force me to choose favorites among my children?

Plus everyone and their mom already posted a vid on this thread so I dont feel as bad. (Way to single me out though dick as if I was the first to act)

Choose? There's no choice unless you heard two songs simultaneously. :/

And everyone else posted one thing. Thus was the point.
nope.

I understand the stipulations, i just heard Green is the color first, knew it was off an album with another awesome song and then remembered this thread. Sorry for breaking the rules. I defensibly understand why anyone wouldn't want 10000 vid's on a thread page... Or don't I?! Right?!

Where's all the metal? Does no one listen to metal when the first wake up? xD
2011-07-17, 10:35 AM #56
I've been listening to Gojira lately but I don't typically listen to metal in the morning, no. This used to be my alarm on my phone but I'd often accidentally hit snooze before it got loud & it'd go off again while I was in the shower & piss off my wife.

I don't actually have any of their albums past Ethernaut which is my favourite. Perhaps I'll have to check out their later stuff.

mb..... come on

come on

Throw me a ****ing bone here. You know very well that there is a fair ammount of music I like post 1980. I was speaking generally. I tend to hate the majority of music made after the 70's while I tend to like almost anything made beforehand.

I forget I have to watch what I say in fear, lest the great patronizing eye finds something amiss. Remind me not to have an opinion next time.

Yeah I listened to them when I was like between 13-17 and all into metal. From mars to sirius and terra incognita (however their spelled) were awesome albums. There was a time when metal and thrash were all i would listen to and play. Somewhere during being 18, I just got bored with it and moved on to other things. Though i hold in secret a vary large place in my heart for metal. Therefore I thought i would change it up this morning.

I blew the dust off of my Slayer South of Heaven original DefJam LP release, and thus began my morning...

And generally speaking saying '**** music after the 70's' is a dumb thing to say.

Misty Mountain Hop

It was on the radio when I was showering after waking up, if you must know. Zep is always a great way to start the day.
