on the down side i'm unemployed for the first time in 9 years... but on the up side, i am ALMOST finished with my certification program for phlebotomy WOO!!!

Graduating in 3 months with my PhD (to hell with my advisor btw), in the final round of interviews for a top-tier management consulting position and an R&D engineering position at an oil-and-gas company. **** YES. Celebrating a job offer with a trip to the BMW M3 (or the E350) store.

I'm 24 years old and living alone supporting myself (with the help of some grants and a small student loan). I generally eat well and get plenty of exercise. My business is making a profit. I have a 3.6 GPA in the undergraduate engineering program of a top tier university. I'm single and hitting the town several nights a week having a blast meeting tons of people and being social for really the first time in my life.

My personal confidence is at an all time high and life has never been better.

If there's one thing I need to improve on it's seeing my family more. Since I moved out I don't see them as much as I should because I'm so busy in school during the week and once the weekend hits I just want to stay in town and socialize.

I started taking violin lessons a few weeks ago, having never played a musical instrument in my life (7 years of choir though!). I was nervous I'd hate the hell out of it, but I'm actually really, really enjoying it. It's given me a much-needed hobby away from the computer. My family keeps bugging me about how far I want to go with it, but I'm actually just going to keep practicing and taking lessons until I feel otherwise.

My only regret is having not done this a loooong time ago, like during grade school. Although I might not have stuck with it as much as I am now that I am older.

I finally dared submit to WOTF. Have (I think) not bad ideas for 3 more stories for the remaining quarters. My son's first birthday was yesterday, which is cool too. :) Going to get salary raise, and a work HTC Android phone and an 8 gig RAM laptop apparently, which is also cool. Lots of other good things going all around as well. Only thing that bugs me that I'm always short on cash and not dedicated enough to do sports... Will have to work on that. :) Peace & love!

Life is good, extremely busy with work and side jobs. Moved out of my apartment last weekend into my girlfriends house officially, who is also almost 5 months preggo.

I have a newer job that is less stressful than my old job and pays a whole lot more. Even though I got this new job, my boyfriend and I are still pretty poor. Ramen poor. I've also been sick for a few weeks. Otherwise...I'm doing pretty good! Not having to listen to students complain about their financial aid has definitely increased my quality of life!
