So, in short, you haven't developed an MMO or on a console, but still know the difficulty/ease of doing either based on hardware specs and gamasutra articles?

You're radically misconstruing both the nature of my comments and experience, but I'm glad to see that hasn't stopped you from speaking authoritatively about either.

If I can offer you a sincere suggestion, SithGhost: maybe try explaining how their hardware is different from a PC. Even if I didn't know better, you wouldn't convince me with an argument that begins and ends with an appeal to authority.

The differences in opinions for this discussion are probably mostly a matter of perspective, I would guess a developer could easily spend massive amounts of time optimizing an Xbox One game to make optimal use of the 32mb ESRAM. The slight differences between console hardware and PC hardware are probably the biggest headaches for developers.

Good riddance. Not sure what this means (if anything) for SW games in general. Then again, the last game I seriously played was Doom 3.

That said, if they seriously came out with a new X-Wing game, based on the original trilogy and EU, which required you to read a printed manual to know how to play (and find the aurebesh code needed to get past the guards), and which had a single-player component on par with X-Wing Alliance, I would buy a joystick.

It would have been outrageous for this game to have survived whereas 1313 didn't.

(Doesn't stop them from focusing on something worse, though)

Wasn't this the first game started after Disney bought Star Wars though?

Quite a long time after, in fact. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Attack_Squadrons

1313 was never a game, it was an agglutination of pretty models. They never even settled on how the game was to be played.

Well, it could have been a nice agglutination of pretty models.

<_<
