I'm just curious about your motivation Koobie. Is the reason you attach good artwork to your poems and stories without permission because you think the artwork will mask the clumsy and distasteful words, or are you delusional enough to think it's the other way around?

Nope, it's because I like art and I'd attach something to the occasional G+ post if I think it fits the theme / text and would produce a stronger effect (eg., here: http://goo.gl/geaNCR), and I'd always credit the artist. For anything I'd put on my website, I'd ask for permission first (eg., Michael Lam's art that went up with my Art of Exploitation story). Other times the art can be a commission, or sometimes people would draw for me because they just like my stories ... it varies.

For example, the cover to Double Five is being painted by Brion Verkler, who's a professional artist who'd agreed to do it for me for free in exchange for helping him with the writing part of a personal project of his.
