I like those type of shoes, too. I have flat, almost nonexistent arches. I'm also bowlegged, so I step with the outer rear edge of my heel rather than the bottom. It makes all of my shoes wear at an angle. The only shoes I can run in are those flat shoes, or one specific discontinued model of New Balance super lightweights, although I did get used to running in my 8" 5.11 Patrol boots.

I've since solved my problem by not running anymore

It's not an acronym, it's short of ergometer, which is what a 'rowing machine' is called.

i mean by some people most people call it a 'rowing machine'
