Boredom.

No offense to anybody who enjoyed the game, but it wasn’t for me. Don’t really see the point mixing those sorts of mechanics with a closed world game.

I agree with that sentiment. I enjoyed it, but only enough to play through it once. I thought the combat was decent and some of the spells were interesting. The physics were done well for the time, but everything felt a bit like a tech demo. IIRC every physics trap was staged. (i.e. a conveniently placed boulder right next to the edge of a cliff above a rickety bridge with 5 orcs on it)
