You know britney spears' new song? The one she has a video for..Toxic something. I was flipping through channels last night and I caught it, and something very strange happened. I kinda liked it. :/

I don't like the song. It sounds like she's trying to make it sound hiphop/r&bish because everyone likes it now (ok, not everybody .. but a lot of people, myself and my friends included) like it now. But she's failing at it.

Britney Spears is awful, but she can sometimes have really good producers behind her (in her type of music, producers also being the people who play the music) so the music can be groovy.

Nah, britney spears doesn't suck. It's whoever writes the songs she sings that suck. I just don't get the music industry... She doesn't write the lyrics. She doesn't compose the music. What does she do? She sings it - and she's the one getting all the credit (good or bad)? Meanwhile, take someone like Amy Lee, who sings and writes material; her whole band gets the credit, not just her. And that's the way it should be.

Indeed she can. I think some people are being fooled by her pop image. There are lots of other pop stars out there who can sing well (meaning they have a good voice).
