I don't know, but the Infinity pickups on mine sound great and have a great reputation.

i'm talking about the "powersound" pickups they put in most of their guitars

Oh. My buddy has a newer RG (270 if I remember right) with those in them. They do sound quite agressive, but not agressive as in "in-your-face" but agressive as in "my ears are bleeding."

I love my older Infinities though. I am thinking about going for some PRS pickups (Tremonti or Dragon) though.

that's what I meant by "sloppy electronics" LV. not really the parts themselves, but the way they're installed on the guitar. =P
