Hey all! I have one question: What are all of your guitars tuned to? Currently mines tuned to Drop-C.

Same here for now, but it always changes. It's usually in standard.

My other guitar is in baritone.

I jump around from Drop D, standard tuning, and uh... drop Db (Db-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb)

Drop C is when you're too lazy to be heavy without being a low chugga ;)

Usually always have one that is tuned in either Standard or Eb, with another always tuned in D.

All of my guitars are in different tunings. I have 9 guitars.

I will not list the tunings on all of them. The most used are:

E A D G B E
Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb
D A D G B E
C G C F A D

Standard. Occasionally, I play in drop D, but there's not too much I like about drop D. I've only written like 1 song in drop D. And I don't do hardcore stuff anyway.

Even more rare, there's this song I sometimes play on my acoustic guitar in C# standard, so I'd be playing in C#, but with all those pretty chords formations from the key of E with lots of open strings.

I have a hard time slapping and popping on a five string. I can only imagine how hard it would be on a six string. Strings are too darn close together.

Then there's this guy I saw that played a 12 string, and I was all "WTF?"

No, he really isn't very good looking.

But look at that hair. I want to touch it.
2005-08-25, 11:05 PM #35
Schming probably thinks he's ugly cause he's playing a Yamaha bass instead of an Alembic or any other fancy $7000 guitar.
2005-08-26, 2:28 AM #36
I've been increasingly impressed by Yamaha's stuff over my lifetime. Especially their drums. I used to be all "Pfft, Yahama sucks." However, experience has proven otherwise.

BEADF#B

But you can also try tuning your guitar to some words...

ACE DAD (your old man's guitar is tuned to this)
BAGDAD (iraqis tune their guitars to this)
BE DEAD (death metal tuning)
BAD CAB (disgruntled taxi drivers tune to this)

I dunno, think of some more if you feel like it :D
