I've been working on this "RPG" level for awhile, and I'm trying real hard to make this one very detailed and realistic city level. I'm trying to make this is the ultimate role-playing level, because I got some awesome weather cogs going on, tons of detailed textures and models (all 8-bit, mind you) and realistic city ambience sounds. To see the sun set in this tiny city block...I can't believe I made this.
I don't have it working right now, but I can change the light values when it turns night in my level. So when it's night, it is night. I need some suggestions:
1. How long would you want a day to last? 5 minutes? 10 minutes?
2. Would you want a sun sprite in the sky that would blind you if you looked at it?
3. Do you think having it all 8-bit is a wise choice?
4. Should I add a pool, like every other RPG level?
On to the shots...
Photorealistic brick mats, all converted by me.
The doors realistically swings open, and you notice my signs I made?
"Dry & Wash" laundry place. I've got my Coke and Pepsi machines back there, and a vending machine right in the corner.
Like any good RPG level, I have a huge hotel.
I don't know why I put those speed limit signs; there's no cars.
I definitely need suggestions and comments. If you have a good idea for a building, or a cool idea that would make it more interactive, please tell me!
