Preparing for a February release

No, dynamic glow creates a glowing, light "bleeding" effect.

I don't think you can do much to simulated that faceted reflection real crystals have. You can try an environment map, but even the best custom one might not look so good. But it's worth a try.

So worth a try that that's EXACTLY WHAT THE CRYSTALS HAVE BEEN ALL ALONG! ...

Lightsyles? WTF?

As for dynamic glow - it doesn't work on my card, even in the original raven levels. It works in the demo, but not the retail game. Don't know what's up with that.

You're waiting for Obi-Wan? Isn't that sweet. Personally, I've decided to wait for the quantum-biological supercomputer. My current system won't support what I have in store for my TC.

In any situation where I appear to be false, I assure you I am correct. In such a case, it is, in fact, reality that is mistaken.

What, the facted look? Sure, but do they twinkle when you walk around them?

...The pulsing lights are called lightstyles...

Try installing the patch to fix dynamic glow, all the changes made in the demo were supposed to be in that patch.

Yes, the 'shiney parts' move when you walk around them, just like a real cut and polished gem stone. Do they have 'fire' and 'sparkle'? No, it's a raster engine, not a raytracer.

You said 'lightsyles'. The pulsing light was just a shader effect (rgbgen wave), it didn't actually change the lightmaps.

The pulsing light isn't a shader effect. It is a light effect. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Okay, thanks for clearing it up then.

You're welcome. I dislike being told to do something I've already done even more then blathering awe.
